15th Jan 2007 , 10.30pm .



my beloved grandma passed away peacefully at the age of 85 .
and at midnight , workers started to build up the funeral place .
was like , so fast ? and alot of busy stuffs cumin up .
first time attendin funeral and understand the tradition .
the place was at the big piece of field .
and eventually covered the whole field .
all of em wanted to make it a v grand funeral for her .

16th Jan 07 .
woke up and den me and mum went downstairs lerh .
most of my my aunts , uncles are all there .
went down take funeral clothings and went up change.
and went down again watchin them do whatever preparations .
by late afternoon , my ahma's body was sent over here .
i saw her body , i was very upset .
the makeup artist of the dead , done a gud job .
ahma was v prettaye . aft we shang xiang .
she was carried into the coffin .
and alot of hell notes were places inside .
the rites were performed and the coffin closed .


this is to be pinned on our right hand side.
ours is blue cos we're the grandchildren .


our outfit , white top and blue bottoms , blue for grandchildren .

my bros came hme aft sch , changed and went down too ..
and at evenin we had dinner , at night at rites again .
it was the GUANYIN de rites bahs .
we family members hafta sit on the mat on the floor ..
and den given a fo jing each . and read along with em ..
it took i tink anhr plus ~ aft tat , supper ..



raining throughout ,
place was v prettaye with beautiful lights .

alot of ppl attended at ard 7pm + ..
den we went upstairs to bathe and
i watched tv awhile read newspaper ..
saw ahma face in consecutive days
at the funeral tat pages ..
aft tat slp lerhs .


17th Jan 07 .
woke up early . bathed and went down .





the place was extended even more as last night too many ppl .
not enuff place .. and more chairs transported here ..


and hundreds of new blankets were sent by diff companies .
it wad a tradition or sumting ..


alot of clans and wushi de banners.

den helped out with foldin of the notes all tat ..
there were alot of hell notes .



i think if they were really useful for the dead .
my ahma will be very rich . :)
dinner had alot of gud food also .
at night had the rites again . dis time round its derh .
dua pek gong . i don't know why so many ..
but then we just followed what the adults did lahs.
den mit leen & wj under my blk downstairs .
found out wj de ahgong noes my uncle oso .
den my uncle alot of business friends ~
tok tok awhile i nid to go liao .
7pm+ alot of ppl alrdy . packed ~

18th-20th Jan 07 .
same routine ..
had rites in the early afternoon instead till evenin.
different types each time , like taoist oso gt .
and was very tired aft tat ..
on the 18th i went to collect my tops which arrived alrdy .
hafta collect on tat day so no choice ~
aft tat dear sent me and i rushed back ..


Dr teo ho pin also with his GRC de ppl ..
cos my big aunt work with him . he came to pay respect .

saw alot of ppl too .
and also got mediacorp de few artistes .


there were reporters too .


the beer had two of this huge buckets but had to refill to the brim
everyday .. cos alot of ppl drank at night -.-

and on the day before chubing ..
we were busy till very late , and i was drop dead .
thanks really alot for those who bothered to come ^^
but for those i forgot to ask , sry cos v busy ..
had lil time to rmmbr everyone to cum shang xiang .
but then i know those wu xim jiu hao lahs .







den we all brought the stuffs need to burn for ahma de.
bring to the behind there .. the mansion car all tat money ..
and den burnt to ahma lerhs ..
alot of different big grps took turns .





to bow to ahma together 3times .
heard frm aunt total of the whole funeral got 98clans o.O !

cos tat is the last night .. their tradition ..
the new blankets hangin can be taken hme ..
and i saw babarians =.= .
aunties snatchin the prettaye blankets all tat .
one of my uncles eventually started a quarrel.
cos they guests shud let us the hosts to take first .
sum even more exeggerating , dun even attend funeral .
cum steal the blankets .



girls like mayling , amelia , even ppl whom i seldom mit came .
enwei honey came too . von also , and i chatted with kim fer v long,
one of my pri sch besties till 1am+ downstairs .
& we were shocked tat actually , she mahjong-ed with yileen before.
and she knew yonglin . LOL . was v qiao ..
so we say . next time we mitup mahjong and go out .

21st Jan 07 .
last day . CHUBING de day ..
woke up v early ..
den bathed le went downstairs .
bai bai all tat . den more and more ppl liao .
got those clans and troupes oso .
xiaobai they all their shi tuan also came .
den gt alot of ppl performed till v long .
at 3pm like dhat , started chu bing .
alot of boonlay pht ppl pei walk.
den was wonderin why they came to send ahma off .
and my aunt say my cousin is lao pui .
those hu noe wads the meaning will noe what i mean ba .
till tat time den i noe y.
walkin halfway saw my taizi kor sia .


da tou wawa ..



walked frm pending to sz hse area there ..
den walked to petir there and plaza there.
aft tat up the big bus . drove us to cck graveyard .
den she was buried in the new place .
cos my ahma said before , nv to burn her ,
as it will be very painful ..
however , government's law . aft 3yrs buried .
nid to be burnt . [ land not enuff ]
ahma rest in peace ba ..

and was rainin suddenly ..
ltr on we were driven to my uncle's bungalow .
cos my ahma died there .. so nid to like ..
the taoist guy ask me pray and say ..
ahma cum bak .. or sumting ..

den aft tat driven bak to our hse downstairs .
had dinner and went bak hme lerhs..
dinner and supper for past 6days were realli v superb .
must haf spent a bomb . and were all delicious too .
everytime like got abalone all tat ..
roasted duck .. and den i love the pudding .
the best pudding i've ever had .



the next day the wrkers came and dispatched the whole place .
but the place too big till . nid 4days till today they finished .
they v kelian . cos v late le still nid to wrk ..

and they all gt buy 4D and toto abt the numbers .
really kai sia . and sum more got 2 sets right.
the behind like for example is 1234 .
jumped to 1243 .. -.- . two sets like dhat pattern lehs .
3rd prize and starters .

this yr cant go ppl hse bainian .
100days cant wear red/bright colours.

last time when we were young ,
i rmmbr ahma always go market buy dose lollipops ..
now not sellin le ba , dose which the wrapper is squarish ,
inside is round .. gt fruit flavours de .
gonna kept them in memories forever lerhs .. =/
